Big Basin Redwood Park, 2008. Last year during California fires most of the park was burned down.

In the 1980s and 1990s when I lived in Silicon Valley I used to go to Big Basin often. Hiking, taking photos, and just enjoying the beautiful park and the big Redwoods. Sad to hear that it burned down. :(

The memorable thing to me is that a few weeks before the firestorm, I did a 22 mile hike (sklyline to sea) that goes through the park.
To think I am one of the few that was fortunate to see the park before fire, is amazing and sad at once.

Christmas in Malaga, Spain (birth place of Picasso, I think).

View from the Rock (of Gibraltar). Perhaps the only runway with street road crossing it. The only access to town of Gibraltar crosses the runway and whenever a plane takesoff or lands, the road is closed to traffic.

Sury, in 2008 looked like a very serious person. Which cannot be said today. :)
And the photos are good. :D

Great double set, Sury.

Sad that those majestic trees were burnt to the ground and diverse fauna was affected terribly.

Thanks for sharing,
Yildiz

Apparently I was shooting Coal buckets' photos with DSC-V3.
For local coffee shops where hookah is smoked in Karaköy district and barbecue stalls/eateries, I suppose.
