Humming Birds with Minolta 80-200 f2.8

JT was surprised/dismayed that I did not have a swiss army knife of lenses (his words), a 70-200f2.8. So I decided to rectify the situation.
Ended up with a used Minolta 80-200f2.8. Those visitors have become less frequent of late. Anyway, here is my attempt at capturing them. With this lens, I have used 7 different lenses to capture them: CZ24-70f2.8, CZ135f1.8, Tamron200-500, Minolta 500f8, Minolta100f2.8, Sony70-400G, and Minolta 80-200f2.8. :D

.

I absolutely love these shots, Sury.
Mostly because the birds are sharp and there's a decent bokeh that embraces the bird in a garden context.
My favourite with a slight margin is the 3rd ; just when the bird is making its 'touch down' on the feeder.

Thanks for sharing,
Yildiz

ps. your lens collection is already very impressive. That's many Kgs to haul around, need be. :)

Yildiz, thank you. But I can use these lenses to lose weight I gained looking at the food photos.

Came out pretty good, nice lens too
I don't know if you noticed but I found the slow/fast setting to make quite a difference on the 80-200mm, never seemed that different on other lenses

Barry,
Thank you. You mean slow/fast setting for the auto focus? Should it be slow? IIRC, I have a medium for focus speed.

Yes the AF speed I know some cameras don't have it, when I tried it though big difference in speed when set to fast, not that slow was slow just very notable difference. Can't say I've seen much difference with other lenses (maybe it's the way it's geared on this lens)

I will check the setting, but I found it to lock real fast, in fact it locks with a small thud and I am worried if the gear will break.

It's good shots, but in my opinion the best shots you done with SAL2470CZ.
But again, it's only my opinion.
