Elwha river, Mt. Olympic National Park.
Again, stymied by dark skies, sporadic rain and poor lighting, I resorted to HDR.
A beautiful area and if only weather cooperated. On the other hand, may be weather did cooperate
and I got lucky enough to get an unusual summer view.

This is a 9 image panorama

Madison Falls, Elwha Valley.

Typical lighting condition at 3pm in the afternoon.

Valery, it is very interesting. The four days we stayed the weather was damp and cool with poor lighting for photography. Two weeks later, the entire Pacific Northwest was burning up with 40oC and higher.

It looks like the rainy and cold weather didn't really interfere with the photo. 😁

Valery,
I did almost all of them as bracketed shots. That helped me a lot. I could have tried in-camera HDR and save a lot of work (had to work with 75GB data).

Crescent lake. Clear water and reflection.

This is an over the top image. 17 image panorama with each image being a 9 image HDR. 151 Images (~3GB reduced to ~40MB). I like it on my (not so) big screen TV.

Thank you Valery.

Different view and the darkness started seeping in.

That house was across the lake. I was quite pleased by the details captured by the Sony 70-400 lens given the lighting conditions. Handheld at 1/5th sec and f6.3. I had to take 9 shots so there is a slight camera movement and that adds a bit of drama to the landscape, me thinks.
