Long night shot with the Tamron 17-50

Unread post by KevinBarrett »

Hey folks. This one has more post-processing than any picture I've posted before. Turns out there are some funny artifacts in highlights reflected in auto paint when you shoot long exposures and DRO+5. I've overlaid a 20 sec ISO 100 exposure (and DRO+5) at 50% transparency on top of a 10 sec ISO 200 exposure. Oh yes, and there's a bit of cloning on the license plate.

I was wondering what causes those diffraction stars and why they have 14 points. It is due to the seven aperture blades?
