I like the reedy scene with the birds doing their "thing"...that close shot of the Eurasian Coot would have been a winner if the head had been in focus better, I know what it's like, the camera gets focus the bird's moving forward and that's enough to throw it by the time the shutter goes off,..you win some..etc. maybe the shutter firing on focus conf. option might work better, sometime.. might be worth a try anyway...I don't think I've ever seen crows fighting before...interesting.

Interesting pictures Steve. I like the crow "dust up". The "evil eye" picture is quite scary! Is the white highlight of the crest/cob a bit blown in that one? I'm just trialing Elements 7 and the raw editor (ACR?) has a handy recovery tool that seems to do a good job of recovering blown white clouds.

The photos are cropped straight from camera jpg , I'll have a play with the RAW to see if I can improve the shots.
