In a word no, did you click the "Img" button and then paste the link in between the brackets where the cursor is :?:

Didn't work unless i took the URL and opened the image in another tab first..
Maybe pbase has an issue with direct linking?

Very nice photo btw :)

I can see it.
I followed Dr. Harout's instructions to the tee. I downloaded Firefox, went to my site, opened the image, right clicked, selected "copy image location", and then pasted it between the image brackets from the tool bar.

This really sucks. Did you ever wonder why these things only happen to you?

Aparantly this doesn't work with pbase. The reason why you see the image in this thread is probably because your web browser caches it from when you looked at it on pbase. Try this:
How do I get the direct linking URL?
To get the direct linking URL for an image, view the image and add .jpg or size.jpg to the end of the URL.

This works just like linking to an image page but append .jpg to the end of the URL.
example: http://www.pbase.com/image/image" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; number.jpg
example: http://www.pbase.com/image/image" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; number/size.jpg

Note: to direct link to a .gif, use the .jpg extension also. It will still send the gif file.

You can also easily get the direct linking URL by viewing the edit image page and looking in the top right corner of the page, where the URL for linking to the medium size of the image is given.

Well I guess you could try, right click your image and select open in new window or page (whichever) and then select the url from the browser title bar and paste that here (between img etc)...might be worth a try.

More useful info:
Who can direct link?
Paying PBase customers can direct link to their own public images as long as they have direct linking enabled on the image's parent gallery. If you try to direct link to images that are non-public or password-protected, it will fail.

How can I disable/enable direct linking on my account?
You can enable or disable direct linking for your whole account at the update account page.
You can enable or disable direct linking for a specific gallery in the advanced view of the edit gallery page.
If you disable direct linking, images that have already been linked to will still show up for a little while before they are updated. All other images are blocked from direct linking immediately.

Yeah, that's what I said

I tried the following link and one with /large.jpeg and got the unable to determine size message and the comment would not post.

Thanks guys. Don't spend any more of your valuable time on this one.

http://www.pbase.com/jstaylor/image/105 ... large.jpeg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
