ok,ok, not this year. It's around this time frame in 2007. Nothing really publishable from Nov. 2008 due to exceptional rain floods and personal issues. Very nice 'blues' Bossel,

The larger versions showcase more of the blue gradients. I'm almost feeling 'blue' that I'm not going swimming on that beach under that giant blue sky...

I like them! The first is simply beautiful. I love the light to dark in the lower half of the composition. The people on the rocks balance the dazzling highlights, and the boat gives some scale to the depth. The second is much simpler but of a very similar composition, having little far-away points of interest in the same places and a tremendous feeling of depth. The third is confounding to me. It is technically disturbing in so many ways; from the inclined horizon to the only interruption of the space being way off at the left edge of the frame, I shouldn't like it, but I do. It is such a candid type of view that it puts me at the beach in a way the more familiar beach-scenes stopped doing a long time ago. The colors are also phenomenal. The fourth picture loses me however--it is pretty enough, but also very common. The frame almost contributes more to the composition than the subject. Over all, this series is very good!

All shot with KM 5D and respectively 60mm, 135mm and 28mm for 3 & 4.
Nice series and I agree with Kevin for the third shot. I would've shot from a low angle and/or including the sand contrasting the water.

hmmmm 28mm and 135mmm, what lens might I have used Thanks for the nice feedbacks to everybody, and I agree, the third one is kind of different. Too much cropping to avoid crwods of tourists, I think.

Thomas: The more I look at your first picture the more it reminds me of classical landscape paintings. It shows a contrasting and well balanced distribution of light and subjects (as Kevin has already said), and a very effective use of aerial perspective. (If it were a real painting one would be tempted to add some more boats here and there to increase the sense of depth…). Beautiful picture.

Very nice. It's too bad #3 didn't have a boat off to the right to add a bit of balance and depth, but sometimes reality just doesn't cooperate like we might wish it would...

Hi Bossel, #1 is #1 for me! I like the contrast between the texture of the sea and the hills and the sky in the background and the people on the rock add just the right balance. Fabulous

They are all nice clean sharp pix, the green sea and beach is good, but the silhouetted fishermen on the rocks with the hills in the backgound across the water is the attention grabber, good exposure control on that one I think.
