we came back from west indies on friday to england and wife caught flu within days.
by the way i have money to replace damaged 24-105lens at the moment i am using 18-70 i fancey 16-105 but is it £300 odd better than kit lens, in your opinion.

I have the 16-105 and I like it a lot. It's a very useful all around lens.

Mike, I have our mint test 16-105mm for sale, boxed. £50 less than whatever other price you can locate it for.

Unusual subject! My first thought was to crop it much tighter (of course that also is an argument in favor of the 16-105) and to omit a lot of the upper left of the picture with all that cluttering details that just deflect from the subject. David, Dr. Harout: what do you think?
