Yes great idea, will have to wait until I have won the lottery though.

By sheer coincidence, today I just sold a panoramic photo I took of the QE2 (not the QM2) when she was visiting the Firth of Forth last year. I used the Sony A100 and the 80-200 G with 3 frames stitched to get a high resolution panoramic photo.

They might have some cheap cabins on deck 23 next too the engine, or beside the anchor winch maybe...
hmm I wonder if you can get it for a quick spin around the bay.....that'd be neat...flat chat, and chuck a full lock turn left and right...yeah, the mind boggles at all that churned water in the wake...but what a blast...

ps Looks like they were doing lifeboat drill, there's a couple of lifeboats in the water next to the ship.

And by another coincidence here is my A350 photograph of the QE2 in the Firth of Forth!

The lens was an ancient Hoya 200mm Minolta mount, converted with Minolta's MD/Alpha 2X teleconverter, making an effective 400mm. Has to be set up completely manually, but since it's the longest I have it's worth it for the occasional special long shot.
