Those are both very nice! Well done!

Hi Paul,

The first is magical, the light is doing some wonderful things with the wet sand and the parting clouds...and that tilting sailboat is giving the photo a body and a story. Without the sailboat that shot would never be as compelling or as complete.

You set the bar nicely high. Now, to match your beauties will be hard but I started looking...not giving up yet!

I have the use of a meeting room at Slaley Hall near Hexham (corporate card deal they did) - if we fixed up a day to do an Alpha meet, would you be up for showing some work and answering questions Paul? Got to use the package I bought from them before next October. It includes some complimentary rounds of golf for parties of four, and I don't play golf...

I trow in some shots then, but do't be too hard on me, just entered this club and it's exclusive high level shooters. Made a fast selection and I do some more pic's so you can see what I like in Photography. Most of them were shot with the KM 7D, I only have the A700 e few weeks now (sorry).

I hope it's not too much at once. If so please correct me I will take some out.

It is better to limit to three images per post, it's easier for people on slow systems or with small screens to appreciate the work. But no need to edit this posting.

You have a particularly strong grasp of motif composition - the single sweep, the one penstroke, etc - within a frame. This is a quality which is not often found and you apply it to some mundane subjects with great effect. Do not class yourself as anything but a high level shooter! Photography is not all about the difficulty or rarity of the subject. You demonstrate here that small details of everyday surroundings can make excellent final images, and there is also some real coherence or continuity about the way you apply your vision - a personal style becomes apparent when viewing the set.

Welcome, and thanks for showing such a fine set of introductory images.

Excellent shots... shots you should be proud of and shots we should envy.

Thanks David, Dan and Dr. Harout for your encouraging words. It's always a bit of a guess what people might find. But I'm very happy with your remarks and findings. It's a big compliment when said that there is a sort of consistency and style to be found.

@ DK: I will stick to the max preferable photo's in one post. No problem and very understandable. I usually do one photo at the time at other (Dutch) forums, zo no problem at all for me.
