Boxing day morning

Unread post by paulmurphy »

Hope everyone had a good christmas, here's a couple from a trip to the sea front on boxing day morning ( a chance to try a new photo-accessory - a good pair of gloves (can't operate the camera when I can't feel my fingers)).
I hoped for a good sunrise (as did the 1/2 dozen of so other photographers who turned up) but it was a bit disappointing.

This is about as strong as the colours got, a red glow on the horizon

Image

The sun was above the clouds, as occasional breaks on the horizon allowed shafts of light through, I liked the gulls in flight

Image

Once daylight had broken, the clouds went pretty non-descript, so I went for the HDR look for impact on this one

Best wishes

Beautiful, especially the last one. Looks like an HDR-ish PP too me. Great in detail, lovely tones and a pleasant kind of colouring. POV is OK also.
