Just a follow-on to Paul's stitched river shot

This one is from 16 photos , I only had the 70-300mm lens on the camera when I tried to take it.

well it certainly turned out alright. I think the building on the right could do with a little straighten but thats it.

I agree Javelin, I just don't know how to straighten it

I use distortion tools in Photoshop 6.0 to correct for barrel distortion and keystoning. I don't have any specific plug-ins, just home-made work-arounds. First I correct the distortion by increasing my canvas size by 200% in all directions, then I apply a "pinch" effect of about 2-3% for my Tamron 17-50 at its widest. After this I use the "distort" and "perspective" tools to get the walls and buildings straight up and down. This gives me a slightly pinched (by 2-3 pixels) trapezoid which I then select again with the correct aspect ratio.

You could just crop from the top and leave the reflections.

Stevecim, simply I have met such peaceful water 2 times in my life when I was in water pool early in the morning when there weren't any swimmers !
