I will be glad to know your opinions about which is the best of these 3 shots??

At large enough size, the first would probably be my preference, but the third obviously has lot more detail of the mountain itself. If I have to make a choice, I'll give up the sweeping view to get the greater detail of the third. In the first shot, it looks like you're standing fairly close to the top of a ridge that partially blocks the view of the mountain range to the right of Ararat. If possible, it'd be nice to move forward a bit so those become a bit more visible. Again, larger size might well cure this -- but at this size, I can't tell whether the view of their base is blocked or not. To me, the second shot isn't quite as good -- the tire tracks in the foreground lead the eye toward the trees on the left, which (at least to me) distracts somewhat from the mountain(s). The trees being there is all right, but I think this emphasizes them a bit too much.

The third shot, as it give a better sense of scale. Longer lenses are often more effective for alpine photography. Looking nice and clean and white!

I tried with my SAL75-300 (at 75) but I didn't obtain such kind of results, the image was very blurry!
And this shot has been taken far away from Ararat, from the Aparan road, which didn't facilitate to obtain more clear images!

Hi Armen. In the first series I like #3 one best. The latest picture you have posted I like even more. I love the way that the mountains seem to be floating above the landscape.

(To find the Ark I think you need that Sigmonster lens I I have seen today on the forum for the first time - wow .)

Also, congratulations to the Doc who I just noticed has become our second Emporer of a Minor Galaxy . Have you chosen which one yet?

Armen, where you took the last shot from looks like it has potential for a good panorama.

I would say that an interesting foreground and a good snowfall needs to be considered.

All I can offer from around here is a heat haze.

These are lovely images ! I have never been anywhere close to this location in my life so it is very interesting to see! It might be everyday for the people that live in that area. I would say from the initial 3 images that image no3 is the better one, but the next image with the rocks is even more spectacular.. thank you so much for sharing.
