A simple shot but quite impressive. Looking forward to more of your lens and camera combination shots.

Hello,

I also like the soft light that matches the colour of bird's feathers as the other posters above suggest but I believe that the bird is too centered. The composition where the bird is a little to the left and has more negative space on the right to the front of her where she looks ahead might make this photo work better.

Thanks for sharing, :D

Nice shot.

Love the "soft" look of it, its still very sharp. Hard to explain.
Nice rich colours and I think nice bokeh.

The soft look maybe caused by a special technique of mine known as the "dirty window" technique. I noticed in the morning it is very dusty so this may cause the overall soft look, while the 70-300 did what it should do on the bird. That's my theory, anyway. i take the point about it being too centred and will play about with cropping - heres another in the same series (well there's only two in it actually,,,,,,,) which i have cropped a bit:-

Hi, :)

This new addition is perfect as it is in my opinion. It would make a nice autumn postcard...
