My Morning Glory flowers, that cover the fence by the pool, are bad now, too. However, they do give us the promise of spring and new life.

I like taking photos of plants that change dramatically during cold months too. Birds which have difficulty finding food elsewhere come and try the seeds of such ivy-like plants although it differs from their mainstream food preference.

My friends don't understand why I shoot dried branches and seed pods!

Hmmm, I see you don't gather the seeds. I do, and seed them in February or so in small pots in the house.
In April out they go for their new place.

We do, but this year we had a false start on spring, then a late frost. What survived grew a bit out of cycle. By the time these produced seed pods, the weather was too wet for them to dry on the vine. Once they did, we've been too busy with a new baby and other pressing issues. I plan to gather them when we get some of those 50F temps in February.

So far, I've only direct seeded them. I don't have inside space to do starter plants.
