I like Peter Donegan's first non-Advanced DRO+4 better somehow. I think it's a personal approach of mine. Though more details are uncovered on his jacket and hair and guitar in the second, the more contrasty first photo has a more dramatic stage look.
Just my preference. A good thing that you decided to shoot with different camera settings at the time David.
Thanks

Not different settings - just RAW+JPEG. The DRO Advanced is the in-camera JPEG, the other is processed from .ARW. I always shoot raw to be able to make changes if needed.aster wrote:I like Peter Donegan's first non-Advanced DRO+4 better somehow. I think it's a personal approach of mine. I see.
And obviously they are the same shot, being identical in every way but for the changes that DRO brings. I just had this notion that you always-but always- shot RAW. (I thought I was the only one that shot RAW+JPEG in this rather professional forum. )
Thanks

I shoot raw, not always with JPEG. But for functions and events, where flash may be used, and where exposures may be a bit wild, and results may be needed immediately to copy to someone's laptop - I shoot JPEG as well, and normally set DRO+ Advanced level 3.

Getting back to the theme of the original poster.
I shot this with the Minolta 5D.
Cropped from wide angle shot.

Black and White.!
Don, Why is it that when you enter a room every one else has to vacate because of the Diarrhea you let loose.
I had to change one of my meds because it gave me Diarrhea, perhaps you should look at yours and try and work out which one causes
you the problem.
Seriously Don, let some others have a go..

Yeah, Bodak, haven't you learned yet that the Village Idiot is the ONLY one who's allowed to do personal attacks, and no-one is supposed to push back?Sonolta wrote:Bodak, learn how to read you slimeball hack!

Since a few people seem to be taking the thread a little seriously:
Feel free to scold me because it's sepia toned instead of truly black and white.
