That really is crisp. Anyone who has not clicked on it as ordered, do so! The ban on squirrels is temporarily lifted!

I dutifully clicked on it and saved it to study closely on my computer too!
Very sharp and full of details. I zoomed on the reflections on the eye to see a square window in a brick (?) wall. One assumes that you're very close to the squirrel Winston, forgetting the range of this lens, but apparently there's quite a distance.
Very interesting window buddy by the way.
Thanks for sharing,
Yildiz

When I saw the title of the post I was expecting some new Microsoft tool. I was pleasantly surpised that it was a squirrel

. The eye is amazingly clear. The lens is officially on my wish list, but it's not very near the top at the moment

. Thanks for the shot Winston. I look forward to a few more of your new buddy. I have always liked the squirrel shots.

David,
Sorry...didn't know about the ban.
Yildiz,
My buddy was on a wall mounted feeder placing hime about 14 inches (1/3 m) away from the log wall (log house, not brick). The image is not cropped except for some trimming on the right edge. I think I was very close to the minimum focus distance(1.5 m).
Many are concerned about the size and weight of this lens. They shouldn't be. The extra mass is an asset as it really helps hand-holding. My change in keep rate is astounding. My engineering background tells me that the extra mass and moment have reduced the frequency and range of motion enough so that the SSS system can handle it.

Thank you Winston,
You shed light on the many things I was curious about the photo itself. I'm glad the lens mass woks in favor of the image quality and SSS.
The economical cropping also adds to the quality composition-wise.
