I find .. ground hogs. Hopefully the red cast is gone in these

Javelin,
I think you should make sure that thesse photos are well-protected for posterity because there's a good chance that you might be witnessing the first encouraging changes in the evolution of groundhogs. Next phase may appear as growth of bat-like skin from back of the front paws to the side of the chest. You may need this photo when that happens as proof to register your name as the first man to witness this fact firsthand!
And that new groundhog may even be called: Javelinus Battus Groundhog-2009 April.

I think Javelinus may be taken already - either a very thin fast moving fish, or a very small fast moving Mexican wild pig...

Yes, a fish that's also called 'Southern Whiptail' which lives in the depths of then Southern Hemisphere, mostly Australia and New Zealand. I don't speak latin, but isn't fugitivus more like in running away? Flying should be something like voler or volare or so...
