It was a close call, but in the end the daffodil's in the mist got me, so it's no2....by a hair...nice work.

#2 is it for me, definitely. The misty layered landscape in the background is fantastic!

Birma
That mist was real, not post processed. I left seattle at 0530 that morning so that shot was taken about 0630 I would guess. I had hoped to get there sooner, but I had to pack up my camera gear that morning because it was a spur of the moment decision to go that morning.

At least to me, the first shot of this most recent pair is downright gorgeous -- the tulips are nice, but the background is what really makes it -- the hills and fog are absolutely stunning.

Thanks for the reply carolyaya - it was worth the early start - more great shots. That really is a great backdrop.
Perhaps a UK thing, but we call those yellow flowers Daffodils. Do you chaps on the other side of the pond call them Tulips? You live and learn .jcoffin wrote:At least to me, the first shot of this most recent pair is downright gorgeous -- the tulips are nice, but the background is what really makes it -- the hills and fog are absolutely stunning.
Nex 5, Nex 6 (IR), A7M2, A99 and a bunch of lenses.

You're right they are daffodils. The daffodil fields bloom before the tulip fields, so those were a little past their prime, but that's where the misty background was better because of the timing.
