Chadkirk chapel

This is Chadkirk chapel in Stockport, a restored 14th century chapel set in 60 acres of ancient woodland

This is the statue of St Chad. He is carved out of a solid piece of Oak with chainsaws.

Looking at St Chad, I can see that the chainsaw sculptor had in mind 'Kilroy was here' when the head and shoulders were sized up...
