I found these little spiders at end of May on edge of my house…



Have you seen spider walking on the moon?

I have to echo DK's comment. This looks like textbook stuff!

The first is indeed very spectacular Hawk. The fact that the spider type is a very colourful and translucent one makes the scene nicer to look at if not get too close to them.

They are very bright yellow; any chance their bites could be semi-poisinous at least enough to cause an itch?

Thanks for comments! I actually wasn't verry happy with first shot This is the sharpest one chosen from few similar. It was tricky to get sharpness right. Spiders were no larger than 2-3mm and they were hovering on various hight above wall.

Armen: background is plaster on outside walls on my house. In second picture I desaturated it.

Yildiz: yes, you definitely wouldn't want to be bitten by one of those. They can get pretty big. The largest I saw was about 5 cm including legs.

You're right I wouldn't want to be bitten or stung by any poisonous creature! Once is sufficient to have a lasting experience for a life time.
I was stung by a scorpion when I was 5 and living by a lake. Scorpions love to habitate around wet rocks and pebbles and I had the misfortune of attempting to pick up one rather big piece of rock when one of a couple of scorpions stung my finger. Getting to the city and the hospital was a big fuss, frustration and quite the pain for me. They surely can cause an immense pain that had me screaming. And thankfully they treated the finger and I was told the poison was completely drained off from my finger.

Never pick up rocks around lakes and in arid climates like deserts because there's always some creature and its family residing there to escape the heat of the Sun or daylight.

But to this day I find these creatures amazing and interesting and still go around to see what they are doing in their habitats. All is well when it ends well!
