Here is a panorama of the Grand Tetons from early May. I locked the exposure and took 9 frames at 40mm on the A700. I used Autostitch for this one too:

That would look terrific right accross a bedroom wall I reckon..a monitor doesn't really do it justice.

Thanks, Greg. We had spent a few days at Grand Teton National Park in May and then on the last morning we were driving north to Yellowstone National Park. I decided to stop and make this panorama. Unfortunately, there were no interesting clouds.

I have been to the Netherlands a couple of times. Beautiful country and I have met a few beautiful Dutch women too. Maybe no mountains, but lots of other great opportunities for panoramas. Amsterdam is ripe with opportunity, for example. Give it a try!

Thank you. I am a nomad though so have no permanent wall to mount it on and I definitely don't want to carry it around with me. One day we will once again live the rooted life, I guess. I am not really looking forward to that day, but we might, at least, once again get a place to be our homebase.

So far no one else has posted any panoramas. They are easy to do. Of course, there is lots of panorama software available, some free, some not free. Here is a very easy to use free program called Autostitch:

Though I made several stitches, but I don't see them as worthy. Still have to practice. Found out that you cannot make a stitched panorama if a big circle is in the shot, such as the round circle in a big square.

Thanks, Doc! Just play around with stuff and you might find something cool. In 2004 when I was going to Tokyo for 3 months, just for fun, I took my digicam and made about 10-15 shots of my room. All over, up, down, left, right, center and then used Autostitch to put them together. It was pretty crazy looking. This morning, again with a digicam, I did the same thing for a big banyan tree down by the beach. I took 15 photos that even go to straight overhead. Stitched them with Autostitch. Kind of cool. Give it a try!

Thats some range! Would love some advice on this, it's untouched from tiff in cs3. I find that I get a strange verticle line of magenta? shadowing between some of the frames and a pain in the mule to loose with dodge, clone, heal. I was hoping to print it large so it needs to be good. I have always loved to capture images but never loved printing my knowlege is basic! any recomendations?
