Looks like the same photo to me. Looks good.

The first has more depth and nicer skin tones for me.

Firstly I thought #1 was the best (more natural looking against #2 which looked lifted a tad too much), but I think I'll go for #2 anyway, the girl's expression looks more lively in #2 than #1 (too my eye) so #2 it is for me.

My bad .. both are same photo, just vignetted slightly in 1st pic. Should I vignet more?

I think the people standing in the background are very distracting and the background in general is too distracting. My eyes are confused, should I look at the camera or the people? IMHO a crop of just their faces would be a better picture. And it would be better if they were looking at each other or something farther in the distance vice the camera. With the distance of the camera it's not clear they are looking at the same thing if the camera is cropped out. Sorry if this sounds to negative.

Nope Mike, not at all negative. I know it has room for improvement. It was not staged, I didn't have much time to position myself. The picture doesn't tell the story properly, but what catches is the joy in the girl's face. Of course that smile made her hubby(my friend) happy . And as long as my friend is happy, I am happy .

I shaded corners to focus more on the girl, but it darkens the camera at the corner too. I am thinking I should go with the original, non-shaded one.What say?

I am not sure if I liked it .. it seems something missing from left .. may be a little less crop would make it better.

I should have used 1.4 lens to get rid of the distracting background.

I thought I'd chime in and let you know I prefer the original. Vignetting, camera at arm's length, people in the background, and all. Most of all you've got to keep the camera in the final image, it gives context to their expressions and eliminates a lot of cropping awkwardness.

I agree Kevin, if I crop that out .. looks like something is missing.
