Not sure that these fit this thread as they aren't really my "best shot". However we popped up to Fife for a few days golf and I still managed to fit in some time with the a700.

St Andrews was very misty and these are straight off the card:

Dolphins were near where - Aberdour, Craill, somewhere between? I like the trophy bridge, which you have just shot and are standing on in Great White Hunter pose, ready to have it skinned and a stuffed Bridge hung over your mantelpiece.

Stayed with friends in the tiny harbour of St Monans. Their cottge is on the water's edge and the tide comes in right up to the wall. When the tide is low it whiffs a bit from the seaweed on the rocky shoreline.

When I went to the bottom of the garden and looked to the left this was the view:

Not too well, because when you drive through Fife, the road takes you just inland from the coast. Each village calls for a detour. We once tried this and got hopelessly lost, but that before Satnav came in - we will not doubt do it again!

Nice shot of you standing in front of the Valley of Sin. I was there last year and never saw fog or rain.
The Old Course @ St. Andrews is everything they say, even when the weather is agreeable.

#11 is a world famous par 3 and for good reason. My playing partner was up against it in the bunker.


However, he got out (the ball is washed out in the background sky). The caddy was shaking his head in disbelief.

I finally had time to do a little research on what the shore fishing is like in that neck of the woods, (those dolphins were there for a reason), and I liked the look of the scenes you had there Brian, it looks like at this time of the year you can get Sole, Cod, Flounder and Wrasse, it might be worthwhile chucking a line in for a while next time...

I went to St Andrews University in the '90s..... see that big grand orange-red building overlooking the 18th green, beside the clubhouse (second picture, of Swilken bridge looking up towards the 18th?

Well it was called Hamilton Hall (of residence) and I lived in there for 3 years. In my first year I lived in room 7 - which is the third set of windows from the left on the 1st floor.
