Getting dark a little later now as we leave winter - 10min later the sun was gone.
(In winter dark arrives here about 5pm)

Very nice colours and good diagonal composition John.
Top left area is a bit distracting compared with the rest of the background which you may have been able to get around by changing position slightly.

Hi John, lovely colours and great light. The nights are drawing in here in the nortern hemisphere. My attitude to dawn dusk times has changed since being a bit more interested in photography. I used to hate the early evning and late dawns in the winter, but now it just proivdes a whole different set of opportunities for those golden light hours. 4am dawns require too much dedication for me

Nice bright red, I wonder, what plant is that? I think there is one like that in the garden here...must check..

It is a Bougainvillea.

Ha! I thought of Bougainvillea but I couldn't see any obvious spikes...our one went to the great Bougainvillea place in the sky....RIP

ps. I looked at the other plant here I was thinking of with the similar red flowers and it was definitely different..

Its a very nice and warm light - there must be some truth that 1hr before sunset / 1hr after sunrise is the best time!
