Here are a couple from our summer vacation. On the first shot I used a Cokin graduated ND filter to keep from blowing out the sky. It was difficult keeping the deliniation line on the filter lined up with the horizon on a moving boat!.. I took a couple others, but movement conspired against me. For the second I increased the contrast and saturation to give it more punch. C&C always welcome. Thanks, John

Both very nice John. I like the drama in the first one, and the colours and reflections in the second. The only thing that comes to mind is how much difference the amount of sea makes in the first?

Amazing, that first shot--you may have just sold me on finally getting a set of Cokin style filters.

Yah, that first one was clever, there was most likely five or so stops difference between the sea and the sky...good one.

Both are great shots.

I used a 3 stop filter, but I don't remember what the exposure pattern was. It prob was exposed for the sea. I cropped out part of the water, because I thought it unbalanced the image. I was leaning pretty far over the railing to avoid getting fishing poles in the photo! Thanks to all!! Kevin- I do recommend the system, I have used it mant times to get good shots with the sun in the picture. You'll spend > 100 USD for all the pieces, but it is worth it. John
