Sorry for long time absence, I was studying to enter the PHD course in Telecommunication and master course at Armerican University of Armenia in Industrial engineering and systems management. By God's will everything is OK and now I have to time to join this nice club again.

Here are some pics which by my mind represent road thoughts, what do you think is it a right topic and how do you like the pics?

I just want to reschedule one of the local rallies to the road you show in the first pic. Classic. That would be amazing for a car launch advertisement shoot location.

Here is more clear view of the road and the mountain on which I seat is about 30 kilometers of hard way to get by car, and by foot it is practically unreachable. Most of the roads in the regions of Armenia are in mountains but this one is the most fameous one and it is also very nice from google earth, if you want I can send you the location on google earth. Can you imagine 100s of trucks from Persia are comeing and going back daily. If you meet a truck on that way you ar judged to wait 30 minutes to finish that pert and all the curves are continued but are not visible on this image. Concerning the rallies you are wellcome to reschedule, I am agree, we will need a 70-400 I think for the best images, if you bring it with you I will feel it on my hands one time

I like the portrait shot with the winding road in the background, but I was instantly thinking what a great place for a stage in the "Le Tour de Amenia" that one would sort the peloton out a bit..

Guys you should really see these places in Armenia. These are really beautiful places and every time when I pass near by I enjoy this road because surrounding is dense forests, and there are lots of places like this it is not the only one. This pic has been taken in the spring if I am not mistaken. But now the forests are more dense and more interesting, hence you are welcome to Armenia.

Armen, I think it's a fine topic and I like your pictures. Did you intend for us to post road pictures here too?

I think it's the same everywhere. To really see a place, you have to get off the road-well-traveled and look under the covers. I would love to see Armenia. It seems to have many antiquities that have not been overly developed and trampled.

We'll take you to many many places visited by so few.

There are infinity ancient and antique places in Armenia which will be lovely for all of you, and as Doc. wrote you you are wlcome to enjoy our nature. Lots of time is needed to see all although Armenia is small by area. For usual tourists when they go through only the highway they don't see much but if one can get to the mountains by foot or by strong 4x4 car Armenia will be one of the most interesting countries for him. There are many many endemic types of fauna and flora in this small area which are amazing.
The ancient half destructed churches are the most famous monuments here and everybody is amazed to see these churches because these are mainly located on the tops of mountains or in valleys where our enemies could get by hard efforts. Next time I will post some pictures of our churches.

i,m sure i,ve seen that road in a photo magazine, it was around dusk and it looked brilliant

Hi Armen and Dr. Harout,

No doubt that piece of land offers the unique remains of historical combinations and natural formations...and it's beautiful.
But I feel that anyone who wishes to make most of a trip and enjoy a good photographic experience in Armenia first has to get a good health-check and later start preparing those muscles for long, hard, strenuous climbing and hiking...and suitable shoes and a light back-pack, with a trusty guide of course!

And a good camp at night around a cozy fire before ending the trip would be the sweet ending...

Yildiz you are right if one wants to have a good wild life trip over the mountains he or she should be well prepared..

Here is one of the flatest types of the roads in the mountains of Armenia. This situation one can meet maybe 10 times discontinuously and it can be boring and very dangerous although it seems very easy road, and good motor like 2.8 or 3 liter volume is needed to overcome all the difficulties without any problem.



Regards
