two days ago , i was with my son to the circus

it was in a big tent , and it was dark ,

there was a act with tigers , and it was good idea to shoot them with high ISO

here are the result

first picture with ISO 3200 F 2,8 1/250



second picture with ISO 1250 F 2,8 1/100




and the third picture with ISO 1250 F 2,8 1/60



i think the A700 are very good with high iso`s

Gustav, I am glad that you both got out alive!

There was a program on the radio this week with a farmer saying that if you were in a field and cows ran towards you, if you had a dog on a lead, just let it go and they would chase the dog.

So, it's always useful to have your children with you when visiting tigers. You never know when you'll need a distraction!

That's pretty funny David.

My wife once asked me why every time we went camping I always wore my boots at night in the sleeping bag. I told her for Brown Bears. She laughed and replied, even with boots you can not out run a Brown Bear. I said I know I can not, I just need to out run you! Needless to say, she did not think that was funny.

Pretty cool! I just wonder about the light, was it that orange? Can you change the white balance, esp. of Nr 2 (I prefer the colours like in Nr 3).
And the best one, of course, is Nr one! Great catch!

The exposure might have been made under incadescent lighting with a daylight setting. The images respond to color correction beautifully.

Having said that, I suspect that what we see is gustav's intent.

Hi Gustav,

I like them. Indoor lighting may be difficult but you came through nicely. In fact, more of the fur details and eyes can be seen in these indoor shots than outdoor samples...

Superb shots, Gustav. But I think I agree with Dusty on the white balance. From the EXIF I notice you used auto WB and converted in Element 6

Great Tiger shots Gustav, you can actually judge the mood by looking into his eyes,
and that is way too close....for me at any rate.

number two , the WB is not good , Indoor lighting was very terrible
it was dark in the circus-tent , and a lot of different colours light , goes on and off
