Hi all,

I would just like to share my latest images - low light one of my favourite areas.

First this is one from my Lake district holiday - the white three storey cottage on the right with the lights on is ours - the family decided as it was windy and getting dark they would stay in the house



The next two are from yesterday (Sunday 13th September) - I was looking for some hay bales to photograph but it just wasn't working, however I spotted this view as I returned to the car



Then I drove down to the sea front, but some large grey clouds drifted over, as I sat on the promenade and watched a break in the clouds allowed the sun rays to stream through for about 5 minutes - wonderful

You must me kidding.
I love them, specially the first, though the third shot would readily be a picture page in a religious calendar.
The first one is something very special, has a strong magnetic power, forcing me to look again and again in a serene mood.
Keep them coming.

I like them Paul, especially the ones that the clouds interact with the landscape to create the a feeling of 'wholeness'.

I think the first and the third accomplished that while the second was cut short of the whole scene. I definitely think that the second would look much better as a horizontal single frame and would be magnificent if you tried a panorama from several images along the line of the fence and the horizon; the fence being a horizontally extending structure in real life suggests that.
And I can just imagine the beauty of such a panoramic frame: that great sky+the greenish wood fence structure+ the field behind with so many hay bales.

I think #1 is absolutely phenomenal! I agree with aster about the second that it would make a better horizontal or pano. only because that sky is beautiful. What ISO were they shot at?

All pics A700 + KM 17-35 and Cokin ND Grad

1) ISO 200 and Tripod

2) ISO 640 handheld

3) ISO 320 handheld

All shot as cRAW and processed in CS3

The handholding was forced by circumstance (left the tripod head in the house doh!)

Really lovely Murph, #1 is my favourite - very good hand holding

I have never thought of the lake distrcit as having such a beautiful coast, I am now reconsidering future holiday plans following your pictures (after Northumbria obviously!).
