I will agree with Kevin's observations and say that I like the way you bring contradictory set of images together. I wish the gull was patient with you a little longer and didn't move its head. I would of loved to see the fine reflections in its eyes just as I can see the fine details in the plumage on the wings...

Three very nice pictures Hawk. At first I thought the gull was a bit un-interesting, but there is so much detail in the feathers etc. that I'm now captivated.

I bet the serfs did not have much fun dragging all of the material for the castle up that hill ! The castle's masters must have been good motivaters.

I must see if I can find some more castle pics for Dusty .

#1 & 3 for me. I agree with Yildiz that the dove's eyes should've been in focus. And I really do know that it is very very difficult.
I'm with Dusty too, cause I like castles too.

My vote goes to the gull. Its like a portrait, how did you get it to pose so nicely?

Thanks guys! I'm glad you like my castle shot as I wasn't sure if I should post it or not. I'm happy with composition but its a bit blurry (I was chasing gulls for over 30 minutes before taking this shot and a200 + grip + Tamron 200-400 weights about two kilos ) Downsizing it for web somehow made blur more visible

As for gull she wasn't at all interested in me pointing 400mm lens at her
