Corsican Lightening

Back from holiday with some nice pics.
This one has a technical error (can you spot it
) but I like the result.

wouldn't be the setting sun would it? looks like the clouds would be lit diferently

Beautiful shot, bossel. I've only taken a few lightning shots, none that good... As to the 'technical problem' are those stars really hot pixels? John

This is really nice! Not just the lightening, but the dramatic clouds and then the dark sky above with the stars.

Besides the lightening it is very striking. I really like it Bossel.

You had a long exposure to capture the lightnings, which gave an effect of daylight in the cloudy parts though during night time. Is this the technical error?

I was thinking two exposures because of what looks like a trail from each star.

Harvey is getting close by spotting the star trails. This is a long exposure on a tripod and I had forgotten to switch of the super sony special semper steady stand shot (SSSSSSS)

Yes, I saw the short star trails, but since it is a time exposure that isn't a technical error. It is normal for a time exposure. If you wanted to you could pretty easily "fix" the trails using your photo editor.
