Wow . Really beautiful photographs. I love the sense of huge vistas opening up in front of you. Great colours and textures. I had a look around the gallery and I loved it. When I grow up (photographically speaking ), I want to take pictures like that. It would be great to hear more about the trip and your approach to the photographs. Thanks for posting.

I agree with Birma that these are great vistas. Like the subtle fog aligning the heights in #1; the climate change in #3 and the wonderful blues surrounding the deep green archepelago in #4.

South America, definitely an awesome place to take a camera too, looks like incredible scenery.

I forgot to mention, all the pics were taken with my A700 + Sony 18-250mm in RAW format and then processed with DxO. BTW, the A700 worked fine under heavy snowfall and rain; the only issue I went into was the second day after several hours of being wet and cold the inner part of the LCD screen fogged quite a bit, but at the next day it was OK and that didn't happen again for the rest of the trip

It was a long 21 day trip... mostly for trekking, some days we walked +30km and that wasn't really the best way to take photos... I make this trips to the south every year, but I'm thinking maybe the next year I'll be walking less and taking more photos
I wanted try low light photography, but unfortunately the weather didn't helped. It rained 17 of the 21 days, but it was a great experience anyway.

Lovely shots. However, I think the blue is a bit over-saturated in the first and last shots, otherwise excellent.
