Competative photography

Hi all,
I was wondering how many others on the forum take part in photo competitions as an outlet for their compulsive picture taking.
I am just preparing my set of three images for the next colour print competition at my local camera club and I thought I'd share. I've shown versions of these in the past so I hope you don't mind me posting the final print versions.
If anyone else wants to show their entries to competitions please feel free to share - it is a great pleasure to see others work.
Best wishes
Murph

Good luck in the competition Paul!
They all are nice and have a grip on the viewer I must say. So go and get them! (I mean the jury members)
I must go and format my laptop now so I won't be a around to make any posts for a while...until all the programs I use are fully installed back into the system. So no photos from me...but would love to see what others have sent in by the time I'm online again.
Enjoy all!

I also especially like #1 and #3 of Murph's shots. I bet they look great when printed and mounted.
The challenges here are as close as I get to "competition". I would like to join a camera club, but I work away from home too much. Printing? Sounds expensive

Thanks for the comments all.
The print competition at our club stretches over the season and has 3 rounds, with 3 colour and 3 mono prints per round (I did pretty well in the first round 1,2 and 4th in both colour and mono) these colour prints are for round 2.
The images below are my mono prints for round 2
Thanks for looking

Congratulations Paul,
It's great to hear that your photos claimed rightious recognition on some official ground as well.

Other than our words of praise that is...
Lovely choices for the mono round but I will probably set my heart on the narcissus field that accomodates the barren, leafless tree trunks in the third photo. There's a good contrast of life and death and a vital reminder that every live creature has its seasons for blooming and waiting for appropriate time to arrive for its revival.
Good luck in the second round.

Good luck with the competition. Not that you need any with these entries. You are a winner
in my book already.
With best regards,
Sury
