Colors of fall

It’s been a long time since my last post here on Photoclub Alpha, but I just have too much work and problems these days :( Of course I have to do something besides working or I’d go nuts so I’m taking my camera for some short walks from time to time. These photos were taken during few days when trees had wonderful colors. Shortly after I took them we had nothing but clouds and rain for over two weeks.

C&C welcome, and its soo good to be back even without knowing when I'll be able to post more photos :)

These are beautiful intense colours - I am sure we have them here and I just don't see them or try to capture them. Maybe bringing leaves into the studio would be an answer!

Its just sun :) Leaves on first were in direct sun light, second and third were backlit by sunlight. All taken about an hour before sunset. Of course it does matter that my a200 is permanently set to Vivid color profile. Additionaly both a200 and D5D are +1 on saturation and contrast. I really like photos with strong colors.

hmmm, you are giving me a great idea, Hawk.
I'll try this at home.
Thanks for these nice photos and hope your troubles will soon be over.

Hi Hawk. Nice to see your pictures on the forum again. I like the leaf colours. Your pictures look like they should be easy to recreate as they look simple, but I think they are more difficult to capture as nicely as you have (for me anyway :D !).

Enjoyed the series, Hawk.

This is as good as it gets when the photography premises are narrowed and they are lovely textures.

Best of luck with the current problems.

I've always liked good leaf studies, and those are very good.

The first one is a near miss. The out of focus leaf that dominates the top left of the image distracts me. The lower OOF section comes off better. Maybe because it's behind the main subject.
Image # 3 is just beautiful.
