Trip to Liverpool

My eldest daughter had her interview at Liverpool University Vet School on Wednesday this week, so I had a quick visit to Liverpool.

The Cathederal is next to the University so we had a chance to look around, incidently it was nice to see Photography allowed signs. What a fabulous building, so much to see inside and out.

Hope you and the other club members have a good time in Edinburgh - hope you take some photos to show those of us that can't be there . I suppose we will have to wait for a Sony vdslr before we get a You Tube of the whole thing .

Photoworld meeting in Edinburgh tommorrow (14th Feb) at the premisies of the Edinburgh Photograhpic society, Organised by Duncan McEwan

A Photoworld Day has been arranged for Sunday 14th February in the premises of the Edinburgh Photographic Society at 68 Great King Street, Edinburgh. Doors will be open from 10.00am, with coffee served until 10.30 am. The meeting will run from 10.30am, finishing by 4.30pm, with a one hour break for lunch. Packed lunches can be eaten on the premises for those not wishing to go out.
The cost of the meeting is £4.00, payable on entry, and no prior booking is necessary. A map/directions can be sent, on request, to those not familiar with central Edinburgh.

Well worth going if you can make it - programme of lectures and critique session, some print displays and general chat with like minded people.

Duncan McEwan will be talking as will DK and two other photographers.

Weather looks OK for North UK tommorrow so travel should be fine.

Paul, the colours you bring to your photos are always amazing. I would be very surprised if one day I didn't see the blend of these magnetic colours in your shots.

The first is striking and the reflections of those colours on the floor work great. A mystycal interior it is. The dome or maybe the ceiling, whichever covers the space may be a good photography subject if it has an interesting architectural concept and elements. I like that chandelier-like suspended structure and I'm sure there's a matching ceiling or dome structure that keeps this interior nice and warm and safe..

In the second shot also, for giving the essence of the place and what it's like to walk in that aisle.
