Hi
Here are some of my latest shots taken with my new toy camera Canon A610 which I have modified recently taking out so called infrared blocking hot mirror.. It is so nice to have such a chip camera which takes new type of great photos..
Shooter speeds were around 1/60 I think, no tripod was required. You can observe some destructing lines in some of the pics, I will tell you the reason later on if you want. Please let me know how do you like these pics which has been taken in city center of Yerevan

Hi Armen - very pleased to see some more IR picture

- I agree with the Doc here, #3 is my favourite - I like the sky colour contrasted with the trees. I have seen this colouring in several IR examples - how do you achieve it? Is it white balance?
What is the reason for the lines you mentioned?

I think the experiment is basically interesting.
However perhaps it is suitable only to specific landscapes. Perhaps better results would be obtained by trying the technique to some other group of landscapes.

Yes Arun, you're right. Armen should have patience and wait till spring or summer. Shooting foliage with IR is much much more interesting.

Thank you for dsicussion!!!
I will do all the possible experiments in hard winter situation and whenever spring comes I will
be an expert and will collect already very good images. Actually I decided to make the IR photo
one of my main directions in photo....
Birma the effect of the sky and tree contrasts I always obtain by color channel mixing, almast always
I inverse the channels of blue and red... Besides, white balance can also play a role when you take
your white balance sample from green leave or from the clear sky. Because I have nither of them available
I am playing with color channels for a while.

Armen
