Nelke at the dog show

We took Nelke to her first Bernese Mountain Dog Specialty Show this weekend. The lighting at dog shows is horrendous. I haven't gotten a chance to do much with the pictures but thought I would post my favorite.

Despite the lighting it's still a great portrait....how'd she do? Difficult too imagine any Judge passing her by very easily.

Fourth out of eight in 12 to 18 month Bitches. There is some tough competition at the Specialty Shows and she was the youngest in her class having just turned a year old this month. It's cool to see a room with 100 Bernese Mountain Dogs.

You're looking very promising and lovely. Don't you worry about the 4th position, you are the best for us no matter what judges think.


Mike, that's a neat photo since you mentioned the light conditions. Her eyes are lit up and the fur is showing nicely. Good white balance all the way through.
