I like the contrast in the last shot (the big and the small ones).
The third shot would've been great without that distracting background cars and so (otherwise it would've been excellent. I understand sometimes you just can't find a suitable angle to take a shot).
Overall those small boats are not only colorful but cute too.

#2 and #4 for me - the little boats have great colours and I like the contrast in the last between the small boats and the ocean liner - what a whopper

Wooden boats are a bygone era in most parts now, it's all fiberglass, aluminium or even polyvinyl hulls I see is the latest craze, (tupperware boats we call em)

Some of those might be dory type boats...maybe, if so they'd be towed out to sea behind a larger boat acting as a mother ship, and then they would spread out on location to catch fish, on the other hand they could be there just for outings for the tourists for all I know.

ps. Yeah, lookit the size of that mother, er that's NOT the mother ship.

Hi Mike,
Nostalgic boats...
We can still see fishermen going out to sea or the Bosphorus waters to fish in such wooden boats in Istanbul. They live along super-sized cruise ships here, just they do in Aruba as framed in your last photo.

Similar wooden boats are still used on the Sea of Galilee, the Amazon and the Nile. While the last 2 are rivers, they do get mighty big in places!
