My eldest daughter has been helping on a farm to help with her vet school application and this is her with first lamb she delivered herself - needless to say this is one for the album

The speed that newborn lambs are up and about is amazing, this lamb wasn't even 10minutes old

The farm also has rare breed pigs - how's this for a cutie?

Cheers

I just love rural life. Have to admit that sometimes during my practice I work as a vet too (you know who  ...)

Wow! That should be a great moment for your daughter, Paul. :)

The second photo is indeed a sentimental instance, with trails of blood still visible inside the mothers hind limbs while she is wiping the placenta the lamb is covered in with her tongue...And the lamb looks very smart and cute seeking milk.

The pig has lots of character. :)

A good and memorable day for all and thanks for evoking the real meaning of spring with some tangible quality in all of us.

New life, and a cute little porker..a very earthy set...there's a 'real' quality about rural life that we city slickers miss out on I reckon, good images Murph.

The piglet shot is great with that cheeky "out of the corner of the eye" look he/she is giving you :)
