Beautiful shots, and a wonderful idea, Paul I especially like the sunset. Is some of that redness in the sky due to the ash that is causing so much havoc? John
If the last thing you remember hearing is somebody yelling 'CLEAR!!!', assume you've had a problem!!
a77, a700, a200, Minolta 8000i, NEX C3, NEX 5N and more lenses than my wife suspects!
The undisturbed, serene moments of an early morning is well portrayed in the sunrise photo; even the water surface is calm until someone or something arrives and changes the scene with some interacting motion. The sunset location is a good selection for a closure photo as the bright blue boats appear as though their owners just tied them to the docks and went to their homes after being out in the sea.
That's how these moments translated into my perception... Thanks for sharing and hopefully you'll be back with some nice ones from this evening's outing too.
Beautiful shots Paul - great colours. I like #2 best, but purely as it has boats .
The sunset had similar colours here yesterday and I suspect we are all seeing the effects of the volcanic ash. It was completley cloudless all day yesterday, as it is this morning, but very hazy.
Nex 5, Nex 6 (IR), A7M2, A99 and a bunch of lenses.
I like both of them very much, but even though the image itself is more spartan, the composition of the first shot gives it a bit more appeal to me than the second.
