Fogo Island Wharf at low tide

Here's a panorama of my next door neighbor's wharf in the evening, taken long after the sun went down. The island you see in the foreground is the same one you have seen countless times in my postings, as it sits directly in front of my home.

In the far distance you can see a line of land; that is Change Islands. about 4 miles distant. Years ago there was a fishing stage on the end of this wharf. (a building used for the processing and storage of the catch of the day)

Nice sunset. I do feel the cold. What's the highest temperature there, Glen?

Hi Dr. Harout,
People often mistakenly think it is quite cold here, from the look of my photos. In fact it was quite warm when I took this panorama, about 22C. In summer our daytime highs are in the high 20's and even into the low 30's, though cooling down nicely in the evenings to the high teens and low 20's. The winters too are surprisingly mild, with temperatures normally hovering around freezing.

Amazing scenery there, Camperbc.

The boardwalk making that angular turn, and the worn wooden elements add an interesting touch to this otherwise wild, glittering and refreshing nature scene.
