Tamron 14mm

I like the circular bunker and the circular roof light. Maybe that's the view from inside the bunker in another dimension...

That other dimension would be the lobby of the Old Course Hotel. I used the 14mm Tamron for the bunker shots because of the Old Course's reputation for famous bunkers. They do not disappoint.



Neither does the lens (except for some flaring). Probably should have cloned the green box out but I frankly didn't see it until I posted it on my site.

The Tamron 14mm does indeed help create interesting photos out of interesting land formations...and bunkers. I like you first series for the coherent similarities you caught in the differences of space. The white flowers bring a dimension to otherwise graphical interpretation.

I think both bunkers are looking good in their own right, but maybe the increased foreground distance in the second one works better for me. I feel the foreground is cropped a little too much at the lower side of the frame to fully give the impression of just how good an impact it has on the photo as a whole.

Just my thoughts.

Thanks for the comments Yildiz. I agree with your thinking. The only other images taken with the 14mm on my website are provided below (I do have more on the home computer and may post at a later date).

I think that the distortion and the composition are looking just right to the eye, Jbtaylor.
Good evening shot of the Old Course Hotel too. Somehow, distortions don't bother or distract or scare me in photos where in real life there are lots of 90 degree vertical walls around...
