Actually, it might have been her. I think every one of those kids had his or her hands on the camera at one point or another during this shot. They enjoyed looking at the screen while I was taking pictures. Eventually they crowded around me and I set the camera on the ground with the screen flipped out so they could see their faces. We could barely communicate verbally, but we all had a great time laughing and enjoying the pictures and video on the camera.

I love that photo and the story that goes with it. Where was this?

Re: Photos with evidence of the photographer
It was at a rural mountain school in Bolivia. I have a friend that's a missionary down there and I went down to visit and help out for a couple of weeks. The local adults are pretty timid about foreigners coming in and taking a bunch of pictures. However, they really enjoy my friend and readily gave approval for me to do so. During recess was when this picture was taken. My friend was visiting with the teachers and one of the boys got up the courage to come over and ask me to take some pictures of the other kids playing. It wasn't long until I was surrounded by kids wanting to pose for pictures of themselves or to have me take a picture of some other kid doing something on the other end of the play ground area. They loved looking through the pictures and pointing out the different kids by name. Everyone was laughing and just having a good time. After we left, my friend said that the teachers enjoyed my interaction with the kids. It was good for them to see that not all foreigners come just to gaze at them like visitors in a zoo.

Thanks for the more detailed explanation. I am sure that heartwarming experience is one you will never forget. It sounds so familiar to me because I have had similar ones a few times. Thanks again for sharing.

I definitely won't forget it. And I'm glad you enjoyed the story as well as the picture.

Re: Photos with evidence of the photographer
the_hefay, correct.
Keith, I guess you can be seen on the hub of the front wheel. But I was drooling over the bike
and took me a bit of time to figure out, assuming I was correct.

A very cool looking bike, and a great reflection of the shooter
Nex 5, Nex 6 (IR), A7M2, A99 and a bunch of lenses.
Re: Photos with evidence of the photographer
Keith, I'd be willing to bet that there are several more reflections of you on the motorcycle. I see one on the fuel tank. I'm pretty sure I can see one on what I assume is the lower footrest along with a guess at least 2 other spots that look like it's where you would be. However, with this size of picture I can't really be sure.
Re: Photos with evidence of the photographer
Darn, in Istanbul I accidentally got myself into this shot.
