Great shots so far. Interesting perspective shot Frank, I like it.
I was trying to get a shot for the motion thread, but I think this shot is better here. John

Great shapes in that picture Dynax800si. My first car was a 2CV - my girlfriend (now my wife!) and I loved that car and we drove it until it was beyond economic repair, and then a bit more :D. Those examples look well loved and cared for.

No real originality here in the evidence of the photographer. It's just a shot that I took on Saturday, while my daughter and her family were in town for the weekend. The 11 year-old is a big help with the two year-old - who seemingly possesses enough energy to power a small town . . .

As a continuation of this thread, here is an image that I took yesterday of the new puppy that supposedly is for my grandson - if it can be pried away from his parents and my wife.

FWIW, it is a miniature Dachshund.

With best wishes,

Nice shot Tom.

Is the price tag for the puppy or his harness :D ?

The price tag is for the harness - the photo was taken in the pet supply store where we had gone to acquire items that we did not already have.

FWIW, we have never bought an animal - and we have had a LOT of cats, dogs, and other creatures over the years.

(I met my wife at University when she was studying to be a veterinarian, which should have warned me what to expect. )

We have always acquired our pets as strays, shelter animals, and other "free" sources - although several of them would have been very expensive purchases if we had bought them.

In those cases it was only unusual circumstances - such as the death of the original owner - that brought them to our home.

With best wishes,
- Tom -

Cute puppy, Tom. : )

No wonder, everyone is attracted to his side!

Over the weekend I visited the Getty Center again, and during my time there I could not resist taking the attached image. It subsequently occurred to me that this image might meet the requirement of this thread - if one goes by only the first sentence, and ignores the second sentence. After all, evidence of the photographer appears in this image not once but twice - it's just not evidence of THE photographer who took the image.

With best wishes,

While at the Getty Center again over the weekend, I deliberately put myself into this image just to post it here. After I aligned the image of the waterfall for what I think is a bit better composition, my presence became much less obvious. Accordingly, I'll also post the "as shot" version, where my presence is rather obvious.

I could have posted this in the DT30/2,8 thread, but decided to follow in UrsaMajor's paw prints with this bedraggled specimen. She goes by the name of Poppy and takes a dim view of anyone who fails to recognise her right to eat, sleep, and investigate (noisily) anything unfamiliar.

Taken with the DT30/2.8 on the A550. I often use the DT30 as my "standard" lens because it gives results with which I am usually happy, is very portable, and is surprisingly flexible.

As always, C&C welcomed.
