I love the light in the first one, Murph, and the long exposure of the waves and surf, combined with the ruins in the second one, makes it look like it's the cover of a mystery book!

The second is enchanting, so that, it almosts makes me stop breathing for a moment. And the first is a 'story-teller' that's beautifully composed.

First light this morning, the beach was deserted, which was good for me, but a shame that people miss mornings like this.

You can't beat early mornings on the beach - especially with great views like that . Especially like #2 Paul - the extra light and colour in the foreground seems to help imho.

The difference a couple of seconds make! From the cool velvet of lavender to molten liquid gold...

Moments that a photographer lives for... so that the rest of the world's population see what they missed during their heavy morning sleep. : ) Good work!

The first one is eery,mystic, like from a Stephen King movie. There are the banks in the sun, waiting for people to sit down. The second bank is a bit across, like someone have been pulled away from it. But there is noone, silence, the city is dead... It would make a great book cover!

It is one of the true joys of landscape photography to be up and about when hardly anyone else is and to watch the start of a new day.
