Just got back from an overnight trip to Edinburgh to see the Military Tattoo and take in a bit of the street performers.

I've got stacks of images to process, thought you might like to see a few. Here are the first three that I have done.

That is certainly one extreme face tattoo on that first guy. He either has lots of self-esteem or hardly any.

Very nice Paul, love the colours, looks like a very enjoyable event, & well worth the trip.
Hope we see some more. ;^)

Yeah Farenheit 451, it's sortof coming too pass anyway it seems, but not in the dramatic fashion as in the book, what with the superstitious rubbish being included in some school curriculums in the US nowdays (here as well it seems), it looks like the direction is becoming a fascination with anything but the facts.
I always marvel at the Edinburgh Tattoo, how they can march in precision formation AND play the pipes so well at the same time.

great photos, you cannot beat the sound of the massed pipes and drums as they walk up the royal mile, the sound just resonates through the narrow streets, a tremendous feast of sound and vision

Hi Paul - great views of the pipe band, and the little motorcycle experts - as Greg said you found a good spot for pictures. The street performers certainly have some very striking make-up .

Thank you for sharing these. A very enjoyable sight for the young and the old...All the things they can do with a line of steel wire! Amazing!

You captured the colourful faces and the parade nicely with the interesting expressions on the faces. The real experience should have been a lot more impressive with all the sounds.

Ah, what a night it must have been!

Very, very colourful indeed. The castle looks amazing as a stage backdrop. Hardly any modern structures or items to ruin the authenticity except maybe the spectators on the sides...
