A couple for David - well they are in Scotland.

May not be Kelso but whenever I've been to Scotland I've enjoyed myself. Originally because you got served a fluid ounce of whisky when in England we got to put up with 5/6 fl. oz. They were taken at least 30 years ago, so age and the big whiskies make me forget...
This is driving up Glencoe on the way to Inverness from Glasgow. Minolta XM and probably a Sigma 18mm.



And this is Loch Meiklie near Drumnadrochit. Again taken with a Minolta XM but I think I had a Minolta 35-70mm mounted.



Negatives were scanned with a Minolta Scan Dual IV and saved as TIFFs. All colour adjustment (to look like the original prints) and dust removal (a lot!!) done in Lightroom and saved as JPEGs.

It's incredible how old negs can come back to life with scanning!

Thanks for those! I suspect my glass of Glenfiddich (not my favourite but the supermarket had it at £16.95 - I prefer the smokier island malts) is over 1 fl oz. Also, it's not a glass. It's a metal. My late father managed a steelworks 30 years ago, and for the apprentices he set a project to turn him a set of wine glasses and whisky tumblers out of solid stainless rod - this is almost impossible, but they did it. They have ended up distributed through the family, and we have four of the whisky tumblers. He died in 1995, and every night (when at home) I've had a nightcap from one of the 'glasses'.
