I was fortunate to go on a trip to Antarctica earler this year - wow, what a place! On the return journey, I spent a day on the Falklands and took a tour out to the King Penguin colony at Volunteer Point. We only had a couple of hours there but I managed to take hundreds of penguin photos! This one was published in Photography Monthly in July and then again in World of Photography a few weeks ago. A700 + 70-300 G.

A great picture Bluebear, I like the reflections. Congratulations on getting it published as well :D .

It must have been a very interesting trip. I bet you took a stack of pictures. I'd be very interested to hear more about it and see some more pictures. How was it shooting I'm the extreme cold?

Congratulations, Bluebear! : )

It's obvious why the photo was selected by publishers; that's one friendly gathering of the Imperial Penguins in good daylight while the grey-blue colour palette works wonders on the viewer's eyesight. There's something peaceful about their togetherness while a good message about the environmental aspect of life and survival.

Thanks for sharing and letting us know! :)

Looking forward to more and not necessarily the published ones.
