Went out yesterday with the hopes of posting some "weather in your vicinity" shots.
Got these instead.

jbtaylor, I like those and this is a great idea for a photo thread. I'll see what I might have.

David, government is always trying to keep the citizenry from doing stuff they want to do. I can imagine all the disappointed kids who are not swimming there because of that darn sign prohibiting it.

Found this in Colombo 2 weeks ago. Maybe someone fluent in colonial idioms could explain how "barefoot staff" and "authorized vehicles" goes together.

Henry, I love that - the whole building reminds me of a cracked and decaying tooth!

Yes, I was thinking the same thing. Pepsodent might help you have healthy, strong teeth, but it, apparently, does nothing for buildings. :)

Each sign is a gem!

JBTaylor, this is a great thread and thanks for the initation. Each sign is an 'x-ray' into how human mind and mentality works...and as in Henry's and David Kilpatrick's cases how nature deals with 'the works'.

Great shots!

This is a fun thread. That photo looks like somewhere in downtown Austin.

In Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany:

It says, "You forgot something!" In Ise-shi, Japan:
