I hope everyone had a good christmas, we still have a lot of snow and ice, but this can also make for lovely clear days.
These were taken this morning (boxing day) with A700 and KM 17-35mm lens. They are all 3 image HDR images (partially because I left my ND grads in the other camera bag, and I tried to show the wide dynamic range). The colours are a pretty good representation of the actual colours seen - I was looking and thinking people won't believe the colours in the sky. Hope you like them
A view along the cliff path, you can also go down to beach, but at high tide as here its not worth it
Looking towards St Mary's lighthouse
Deleval Hall, I passed this on the way home and had to stop
Best wishes
Paul

Three dandies there Paul.
I don"t doubt the skies colours. I have to tone some down a bit to
make them believable, how-ever, they are not in the same league as
these beautiful skies. Thanks for sharing.

That north sea coast is wonderful as ever. Sadly, we don't see the sun until an hour or so later inland - even just 25 miles inland it makes a huge difference to the amount of morning light. The sea is a fantastic reflector.

Stunning shots Paul - really awesome colours. I like #2 especially. A complete contrast to the drab feeling here today with the worold outside looking almost monochrome.

Hi Paul,
Seasons lovely greetings!
What an awesome series and I have to agree that the scenery is magnificent compared to any we have here recently. : ))
The images draw the viewer towards within the frames, so that I feel like I'm standing right there where you stood that morning. The postcard effect is great...
Thanks for sharing,
Yildiz

Thank you for the kind comments guys.
Even though I have photographed it many time, I still love the local coastline, the light changes constantly and you never know what you are going to get. I am trying to find some new angles, as you can imagine the local camera club scene has a huge number of the standard views. Here are a couple more from yesterday that you may like - also just found out one of my images is going to be used in the 2011 Blyth Port Authority calender (third image below)

Thanks for looking

Congratulations on the Calender photo, Paul, it's a fine photo with some nice waterfront elements and deep blues...Very soothing.
Lovely set of three images, yet again. : )
